For Step 5 I looked into soccer safety based on the IFAB's (governing body of soccer) rules. I compiled the below list.
Rules
All jewelry must be removed
Players are inspected before play begins to ensure no dangerous equipment or jewelry
Prohibits excessive force
Charging
Jumping at
Kicking or attempts to kick
Pushing
Striking or attempts of striking (including head butts)
Tackling or challenging
Tripping or attempts of tripping
Prohibits holding other players or impeding them with contact
Prohibits playing in a dangerous manner
Goalies can’t be challenged when they have control of the ball
Training
Preseason condition
Reduces risk of injuries such as torn ACL
Limit number of headers practiced
Stretch before every practice or game
Safety Equipment
Shin Guards
Goalie Gloves for goalies (not required)
Sports Goggles for people with impaired vision (not required)
Mouthguards (not required)
Goal posts secured down
