My Portfolio Step 5

Step 5 was to practice interviewing and interviewing skills, but with a focus on cookie experiences. My cousin-in-law, Arly, helped me out while she was in town for the holidays. We went over likely questions and did a mock interview. Below are the questions we came up with and the cookie themed answers.

Why do you want to work here?
I enjoyed working with other at cookie site sales and love the group mentality
What's your past experience
I have Managed sales, customer relations and satisfaction, and money for 10 years through cookie sales. I also have great grades and have been a top seller many times
What kind of extracurriculars are you involved in
One of my main extracurriculars is Girl Scouts and especially the cookie sales each year. I also volunteer at my church and compete in science Olympiad
Tell me about a time you had to overcome a problem
There were two twins down the street that were a year younger than me. They were also Girl Scouts, so we competed for sales on our blocks. Eventually we made an arrangement were we each got the block we lived on so we both got sales
Was this solution successful
Yes and no. There was some confusion and sometimes they would sell on our block, but they were nice about it. Now they are no longer Girl Scouts, so I don't have to worry about it anymore
What are your goals and how does this job fit them
I want to sell more cookies to earn more money for my troop to go on trips and buy supplies. One trip we have planned is a guided tour of starved rock this February
Where do you see yourself in 5 years
Still helping with Girl Scouts and cookie sales even though I will be to old to sell myself. cookie sales should set me on the right path for success.
