Textile Artist Step 1

For the step of the Textile Artist badge I choose to visit a textile exhibit. My mom and I visited my dad in downtown Chicago after work. We walked to the Art Institute of Chicago where they have a textile exhibit in the lower level. The textile exhibit consisted of robes from Japanese monks. They all had the same base structure. Everything in the robes had a purpose or meaning. It was a very interesting visit and made me appreciate the underlying reasons of parts of textiles.
